Remember last month when the 2013 Honda Odyssey was named a "Top Pick" by the folks over at Kelly Blue Blook? Needless to say, it was quite the cause for celebration over here at Bend Honda, and we just couldn't be any prouder of our minivan that could. Then again, that's the thing about our favorite automaker: they keep finding ways to keep that pride growing.
For example, each time we get the latest iteration of a new or used car on our lot, it isn't long before we're doing backflips over them. We can't imagine how they could get any better, they are everything we could have wanted. Such was (and still is) the case with the 2013 Honda Odyssey. But then the 2013 New York Auto Show rolls around, they pull back the curtain on the 2014 Honda Odyssey, and in true Honda form, they just keep knocking our socks off.
While we're still waiting for an official confirmation on what kind of drivetrain it will be working with, exterior renovations to the 2014 Honda Odyssey include a revamped grille, new LED taillamps, and a new aluminum hood, among other updates. Not only that, but new structural changes should do wonders in making it the safest version yet.
But as great as those additions are, it's what's inside that's really caught our attention. You've got HD radio, a HondaLink cloud-based infotainment system, and an in-car vacuum to clean up dirt and spills. Yes, you read that correctly.
The first of its kind, the HondaVAC will come standard on the 2014 Honda Odyssey Touring Elite model, can be outfitted with a variety of nozzle attachments for hard-to-reach areas, and will be long enough to reach every surface in the cabin. And if that isn't enough, it will also run for eight minutes after the vehicle is turned off.
As you can imagine, we're just chomping at the bit to try this puppy out for ourselves, so if you'd like to learn more about all that the 2014 Honda Odyssey will have to offer, feel free to visit our parts department here at 2225 NE Hwy 20 (DA3025) in Bend, OR 97701 for a full report. Talk about innovation, huh?
