When Consumer Reports unveils their Top Picks List around this time each year, we here at Bend Honda can't help but get excited. Maybe it's just the anxious shopper in us, or maybe it's the unfaltering adoration we have for each of the new and used cars at our dealership. But regardless of the reason, it's time to get excited, because now that they've released their Top Picks for 2013, things are just turning up Honda.
For those unfamiliar, the Top Picks list is a celebration of what Consumer Reports deems as the best all-around model-year vehicles across 10 different categories. This year, 280 models were considered, and all were evaluated according to road test performance, reliability, and safety rankings. Lo and behold, not only did three Honda models make the list, but they set a new standard for the market as a whole.
"This year's list has received an overhaul led by Honda's return," says Rik Paul, automotive editor at Consumer Reports. "After several years marked by some so-so products, its comeback is led by the Accord's redesign and the well-rounded performance and reliability of the CR-V and Odyssey."1
As for the winners themselves, we have the 2013 Honda Accord, the 2013 Honda CR-V and the 2013 Honda Odyssey. As for their respective awards, the 2013 Accord was the Top Pick in the midsize sedan category, the 2013 CR-V won for the best small SUV, and the 2013 Odyssey put the minivan competition to shame. All in all, not a bad day to be rolling with Honda.
If you'd like to learn more about the award-winning qualities of the models at our dealership, please feel free to stop by our parts department for the full skinny. And if you're more of a hands-on learner, then a test drive awaits you down here at 225 NE Highway 20 (DA3025) in Bend, OR 97701. Can't let Consumer Reports have all the fun now, can we?
