Last month, while most of us were making plans to hold or attend backyard barbecues, thousands of Team Honda employees were making a difference in communities all over the country. In fact, approximately 16,000 volunteers across the country donated blood, collected trash, donated or organized food at food pantries, helped or adopted animals, painted or re-furbished homes and donated money.
While donating money is an important and often relied on way of giving, sometimes it feels good to roll up one’s sleeves and get right into the work of a nonprofit. For a bit of Honda-related history, this special Honda Week of Service coincides with the Honda’s Founder Day in North America, which took place on June 11, 1959.
