Last month at the Tokyo Motor Show we were introduced to a new production ready crossover from our Japanese automaker.  The Vezel appeared ready to tackle the Asian market, and will be related to an American counterpart in a CUV based on the Fit, which will enter the Bend Honda showroom in the future.

Now, information was leaked that the performance arm of our brand, Mugen, has already got their hands on the Vezel.

The first glimpse we got of a vehicle like the Vezel was at last year's Detroit Auto Show, and this came in the form of the Urban SUV concept.  Almost a year later the Japanese market now has the Vezel, and here in Bend, Oregon we will soon have our own version.

Recently, a sales brochure was leaked by Honda, and inside it contained an image of the Vezel clad in aftermarket parts from Mugen.  With an Acura-like grille and flashy wheels, the vehicle took on a sportier and aggressive stance.  This was boosted by a more aerodynamic body kit that consisted of new side sills and bolder lower bumpers.

The American crossover will be similar to the Vezel but mixed with the style of the current Honda Fit.  Whether or not Mugen will add their performance parts to this version is unknown, but if they do it will definitely be along the lines of the leaked Vezel photos.

The Vezel is already sweeping the Japanese market, and has a three-month waiting period for buyers to get their hands on it.  The name for the American model has not been announce yet, but when we find out more info we will update you here on our blog.
