When you’re a student in college, money can be a big worry. It’s not unusual for a student to have to leave school or change to a different, less costly institution throughout his or her college career.
Recently 16 outstanding Latino undergraduates were honored for academic excellence by Honda North America Inc., and the Hispanic Scholarship Fund. The students were recognized at a Scholar Awards Breakfast in Columbus, Ohio. Each of the 16 is eligible to receive a scholarship of up to $5,000 to help pay for tuition, living expenses, and books. Students are selected for the scholarship based on their academic excellence, each must have at least a 3.0 grade-point average.
