A couple months ago, you may recall us telling you about our favorite automaker's campaign to save America's drive-in movie theaters. It was a bittersweet moment if there ever was one, but, more importantly, it was a point of pride for all of us here at Bend Honda. And now that their efforts are starting to pay off, we've never been more excited to go to the movies.

Since Honda fans and movie buffs alike started voting to save their theaters on the Project Drive-In website, over 2.6 million votes had been collected. Not only was that enough traction to buy new digital projectors for nine drive-ins across the nation, but with the help of Indiegogo's Save the Drive-In Fund, they even managed to raise an additional $43,000 for the cause.

Needless to say, the pride just continues to grow.

"It's not often that a company gets the opportunity to help preserve an American pastime," says Alicia Jones, manager of social marketing at American Honda Motor Co., Inc. "It has been an honor and a privilege to bring national and local attention to the fate of drive-ins and to meet the passionate owners of these small businesses."1

So if you'd like to follow suit, then head over to the Project Drive-In website and take a gander at the 2014 Honda Odyssey Touring Elite that is being sold as a $50,000 fundraiser to save even more theaters. Or if you'd rather try it before you buy it, your test drive awaits you at our dealership here in Bend, OR. It's a win-win if there ever was one.
